Every year during the Edinburgh International Festival there is a craft fair set up behind St. John's Church on the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road. I always make a point of checking it out as there are usually a fair number of opportunities to pick a few early (and unusual) Christmas prezzies. When I saw this particular stall, I immediately thought of Seb and Buzznet and started to take my camera out of its bag, only to look up and see a young woman with an anything but happy expression on her face. To cut a long story short, she said I couldn't take a photo of the monkeys because the artist who had made them wouldn't like it. Explaining that I only wanted to take the shot due to the toys resembling Spanky the Monkey didn't help my case as it meant nothing to her. The zoo has several Close Encounter sessions each day. Tickets are free, but as only around 12 places are available for each, it's a case of first come first served.
